GETTING SALTY!

Broke out the light tackle spin outfit for some fun in the sun with brutes in confined spaces...

Rod in question is the amazingly sensitive Major Craft Corzza in 5-10lb guise. This GT did well but it wasn't good enough...

It fell for the natural-swimming IMA Sasuke Shad 75...

Spybaiting turned a quiet morning on its head. This fat Grouper was more than a handful on the light outfit...

The original spybait: the DUO Spin Bait in its largest size, the 90...

Another Grouper came to play...

Its the DUO Spin Bait again...

We have to go slow to fool these Red Drums, easily the most finicky fish to catch...

There isn't a better lure for slow dead-sticking than the Jackall Baby Giron. Boy do these Red Drums go hard when hooked...

The same works the same for the Grouper population as well, and before long the Major Craft Corzza is loaded up tight...

The Jackall Baby Giron is gold...

Meanwhile its hard to go pass a good soft plastic to turn around a slow day with these Groupers...

Worked with the lithe Major Craft Sky Road spin stick, this Jackall Glossy Shad scores...

A long and lean and very well-proportioned Estuary Cod showed its health with a great skirmish on the Major Craft Corzza rod...

The Jackall Baby Giron doesn't stop...

Yet another fat Grouper in successive casts...

Can't speak highly enough of the Jackall Baby Giron...

The Groupers seemed to be lining up for a shot each...

The Jackall Baby Giron stays intact despite the onslaught and continues to score! But alas the lure is soon lost...

Going light is key to fooling the smart GTs...

The Jackson Pygmy Vibe proves the best tool for the job. Worked with the Major Craft Sky Road ultralight spin stick it scores...

Once another gun lure makes its appearance the Groupers keep on the chew...

Similar in profile to its hard-bodied brother the Baby Giron, the soft Jackall Clone Gill does the damage all the same...

Meanwhile the GTs are still getting harassed by some very successful jerkbaits...

The IMA Survivor 50 is small but packs a big punch especially when casting due to its heavily weighted inners...

The Groupers continue to attack the super life-like soft plastic as they cross paths...

Its the Jackall Clone Gill, and there's nothing else like it...

Back to the subtle spinning blades of the spybait to fool another fish...

The DUO Spin Bait does it again...

Just as the Jackall Clone Gill scores yet another...

They are specially rigged on the awesome Geecrack Corn Head jigheads and are the perfect fit...

More soft plastic action against another willing customer...

Its the Jackall I-Shad which gets inhaled...

Meanwhile, throwing something different gets a response from the very picky Groupers...

Its the IMA Flechette that does it...

The Red Drums arern't spared from this phenomenal soft plastic lure...

The Jackall Clone Gill scores one...

Not long after another Red Drum is in the net, it went hard on the UL Major Craft KG Lights rod...

The Jackall I-Shad is no slouch when it comes to fooling fussy fish...

One last brute for the day, on the Major Craft Corzza spin rod...

The Jackall Clone Gill defines natural baitfish representations, and accounts for yet another fish...

FEED LURES BULB VS AUSTRALIAN BASS

On a trip downunder we went in search of some Australian Bass in the dark with topwater lures and found one which was outstanding. The FEED Lures BULB8 popper has an inbuilt swimming action that when twitched can be 'walked' just like a topwater pencil, with the addition of some subtle splashing! The results were great and we had our Aussie Bass nailed!

In the dark these fish are willing feeders near the surface. The poppers were cast at structure and the fish were lured out from their hidey holes...

The BULB8 has a pudgy body shape, which helps impart the sexy action that proved the Bass' undoing...

We used the new Major Craft MS-X Limited ultralight spin rod to good effect. Distance and accuracy was key and it delivered with supreme finesse...

The trek in the cold was worth it despite the short session. Aussie Bass has always been on the list and now it can be struck off...

SW POND WITH A NEW WEAPON!

Ultralight session at a stocked saltwater pond went pretty well with some exciting new lures to chuck...

First Barramundi after a short fight on the Major Craft MS-X Limited ultralight spin stick...

Almost transparent is the Zipbaits Raphael in the most discreet colour in the range...

Major Craft MS-X Limited ultralight spin stick at work...

Result is a fat Grouper on the toothpick of a stick...

DUO Realis Shad 59MR makes the score...

Big Barras are always a welcome catch, they go hard especially on the ultralight gear...

They are one of the hardest fish to fool here but the DUO Toto Shad did the trick...

Bouncing soft plastics off the bottom is a surefire way to target these brown buggers...

Jackall Waver Shrimp work with the Evergreen Kaleido spin stick can not be ignored...

The super ultralight Evergreen Kaleido Mach-1 spin rod is dynamite for ultralight lures. This Barra put up a tremendous fight on the gear...

Small lure, big fish. The DUO Bivi tiny vibe scores...

We have a new secret up our sleeves and it scores this nice Grouper...

The new Jackall Gene soft plastic vibe is doing the damage...

Another fat Grouper hits the deck...

And the Jackall Gene scores another...

It didn't take long to entice another one with this new lure...

Its the Jackall Gene yet again...

One of the elusive Cobias even decides to make an appearance...

Courtesy of the Jackall Gene as well. Awesome day with some awesome lures...
