Been awhile since we've had a decent trip on the West Coast, weather being the biggest factor. So here we were again, fingers crossed for cooperative skies and a decent bite. And we were truly blessed by both. Here's how it went...

| Under gloomy skies the first few casts thrown yielded a rare Bluefin Trevally on the prototype FEED Jungle spin rod... |

| The lure was none other than DUO's latest offering, the Realis Pencil 130. What a start! |

| This trip was a chance for us to put the FEED Lures Jungle rod through an intense test, out of its comfort zone and against some saltwater tackle busters... |

| The FEED Jungle spin rod proto was a JBS-68H, not even the heaviest spec model, but we threw bigger stickbaits to try and find its limits. Part and parcel of the test process, not to mention the angry GT that went for it... |

| A custom painted DUO Aomasa pencil did the job on this fish... |

| The GT's were obviously cooperative on this day. Another nice fish is landed courtesy of the DUO Aomasa pencil... |

| It then turns into a full-fledged pelagic smorgasbord when this nice Queenfish smashed the DUO Fang Bait 140SR. Another DUO lure then, for bluewater casting... |

| It is no surprise the feisty Queenies love the new DUO Realis Pencil 130 just as much... |

| Good fish of this size is as much fun as one can have on the light gear. And the FEED Jungle spin proto is kept stretched... |

| Meanwhile the Queenies keep everyone on board busy. Hard to get tired of catching these amazing fish... |
 |
| And the DUO Aomasa continues to prove why it is the go to lure for so many anglers in these parts... |

| No guesses for what lure this next nice GT is taken on. The DUO Aomasa cleans up... |

| Good fish in super strong currents with the hooks in its belly. Turned out to be a monumental task for the rod, and it did take a while to get this fish back to the boat. But do its job the FEED Jungle did, maxed out for the duration. Kudos to the DUO Aomasa pencil for yet another nice result... |

| DUO Aomasa cast to likely spot, a smash and a whack, and a Queenie in the boat. Seemed like the order of the day... |

| What happens next is truly awesome. Lithe lady angler and her handy Major Craft Giant Killing casting stick braving the rocking boat and casting the FEED popper gets the strike of her life from this nice Spanish Mack... |

| With the FEED PIN40 firmly pinned, some patient rod-work had her Spanish Mack in the boat and high fives all around... |

| Turns out it is not the only Mack in the area as another nice fish plows the surface intruder. The FEED Jungle proto rod truly has gone through all the local pelagic species by now... |

| The sun sets on an awesome day of fishing. We only hope the next day stays the same... |

| And we wake to another lady and her very bent Major Craft Crostage Rockfish rod... |

| Its a double hook up as this FEED proto micro jig rod bears the grunt of a nice load. But this fish is lost soon after... |

| The extra long fight ends with a foul hooked Mack Tuna in the boat and one tired angler... |

| We continue to hook a few unstoppables on the FEED micro jig prototype rod... |

| We hang around the shallows terrorizing the local Grouper population with little jigs like the IMA Ichimatsu... |

| Low and behold, from a marauding pack of silver speedsters we pluck another Spanish Mack. The day just got a lot better and the FEED Jungle proto spin rod adds another notch to its list... |

| The FEED Jungle 68H will be a beast of a tool. The power afforded by the back bone is not to be snuffed at. For a rod of its intent, this one punches way above its weight... |

| The fight was intense but the 18lb fish of the day gets its picture taken like every one before itself... |

| Hard to go past the FEED PIN40 for our popping needs with this light gear, and it doesn't disappoint... |

| As the sun goes down we get one more connection. This is the rod at full load... |

| It turns out to be another Spanish Mack. No complains... |
 |
| We swung the 60g FEED SWISH60 stickbait sparingly throughout the day and the very conservatively 45g rated JBS-68H handled it without flinching. We hooked a few good fish but they fell off the hook but alas had this nice Mack boated... |
 |
| Next morning we experienced casting at a most beautiful sun as it rose... |
 |
| Lady luck had her plans. And this pretty angler has the Major Craft Giant Killing rod in all sorts of angles following a massive boat-side explosion as the GT smashed the lure... |
 |
