A LIL' SLICE OF AMAZONIA

There was a new exciting lure in the works and when we were sent a prototype to assess we wasted no time in heading down to a local watering hole to cure some itch. The reason for the excitement was the species we were after - the finicky South American Pacu.

These Amazonian natives have been introduced and bred locally for some time and create a challenge for anglers who, with artificials try to fool this usually passive omnivorous eater that is more accustomed to munching on berries and plant matter.

In the stocked ponds where these fish are found, catch and release is oft practised, turning these fish into the toughest fish to fool. Only the best lures coupled with the best presentation will yield results, so we were keen to put the new lure to the test. The much anticipated Tiny Khamsin by Zipbaits was here at last...

Started things off with a local denizen, the Common Snakehead. Caught on an IMA Sukari, a consistently deadly lure for finicky fish...
