P'COCKS N STUFF!

Hard to imagine our local fisheries without them now - the gregarious Peacock Bass and its contemporaries. For short sessions full of thrills and spills there is no greater joy than chasing these oft-oblidging fish. So with brand new Major Craft MS-Xs in hand we decide to hit the waters...

We start off with a feisty one on the FEED BULB8 popper...

Not a monster but its topwater strike would put any to shame...

The IMA Scarecrow 70 is the brand's latest swimbait creation and it got this fish fooled. On the ultralight Major Craft MS-X spin rod the fun factor was turned up to the highest notch...

A double header of Bass. One on the IMA Koume 60 vibe and the other on the always reliable IMA Ligid 70...

With the ultra light Major Craft MS-X spin rod ultra finesse lures are a real possibility. This nice Zebra Cichlid becomes a victim...

The IMA Meba Calm lure has the slinkiest flutter we've seen in a long while...

These fish just love quickly flicked vibes, and another one succumbs to the mighty new MS-X UL-spin rod...

The IMA Koume 70 is a spectacular lure and the results show...

Here's a nice specimen which chased down a fast-ripped IMA Gun Peki light jig worked in frantic pace by the Major Craft Corzza rod...

Another Major Craft MS-X UL-spin rod victim...

The IMA Meba Calm sinking pencil scores another...

More tag-team action with another brace of Bass on the IMA Koume 60 and Sasuke 95 respectively, both using the same sleek MS-X UL-spin rod...

Jerk-pause-rip-twitch BAM! And another Bass on the MS-X for the cam...

Deep throated IMA Survivor 70 - possibly the most successful lure for these fish, its almost like cheating...

The Limited Colour IMA Koume 70 is one beautifully put-together lure. The fish are just as mesmerised...

We wrap with another one of the countless Bass landed. Nicely marked for posterity...
