Following our Snakehead adventure in the reaches of the dense tropical rainforests, we spent the next couple of days exploring different systems and chasing some other inhabitants. Here is what we encountered...

| The day started cold, damp and foggy... |
 |
| But would reveal an awesome tight and twisty pristine waterway when the sun came out to play... |

| In the late morning we strike gold with a hefty Helicopter Catfish. These big fish call these small networks of canals home. This one was found lurking just around a strategic bend... |

| It ambushed the Jackall Aragon crankbait in textbook style and took it deep. The hook up was never in doubt... |

| On the stout Major Craft MS-X rod it plugged deep and held stubbornly until it was carefully coaxed into the boat... |

| We plied the rest of the river with much enthusiasm after the first hook up and was rewarded with a beautifully marked Ocellated Snakehead... |

| It took the quickly cranked Evergreen Combat Crank from its stake out on a typically fishy corner... |

| It didn't take too long to find another one of these magnificent fish. The heavy Major Craft Basspara meant it was no contest... |

| This one fell for the ever-popular Bassday Death Lock minnow and unfortunately marked the end of the day on the water as we failed to find more monsters... |
