IT'S THE MALDIVES Part Two

We pick up where we left off from in Part 2 of this Maldives instalment...

To drop jigs into the abyss its hard to pass up on the excellent Evergreen Poseidon rods, purpose-built sticks made for the job...

Working a slow jig deep with the Major Craft Giant Killing sees it bending hard...

Its a fat Shark on the Xesta Flap jig...

From a shallower point comes a Rock Cod taken on a Shout! Lighten jig...

Then its a pair from the reef on the Xesta Flap and Shout! Lighten jigs respectively...

The Shout! Lighten scores again with a nice Coronation Trout...

Another beauty hits the deck...

Then its a fantastic Amberjack on the Shout! Lighten jig...

Going small in the shallows pays dividends with this nice Long Nose Emperor...

It took a Shout! Shiver jig and paid its dues...

Here's a Major Craft Giant Killing spin rod nicely loaded...

Can't get reder than this Tomato Cod...

Taken on a Shout! Stay jig...

Next in is another rare Yellowtail Grouper...

Two Groupers on the Shout! Stay and Xesta Flap jigs...

There was no lack of fish on these reefs...

Baby Amberjack taken on the Xesta Flap...

And another Amberjack on the Shout! Stay jig...

A taxed Long Nose Emperor taken on a Xesta Flap jig...

A tandem of Tomato Cod on Xesta Flaps...

The jigging action was fast and furious...

Back to surface lures and a GT is landed on the FCL Labo DIQS pencil...

Its followed by another GT on the FCL Labo SPP Tuna...

A lil' Green Jobfish on the Xesta Flap jig...

A nice Black Jack which took a liking to a Shout! Flash jig...

Another beautiful Yellowfin Grouper taken on the Xesta After Burner jig this time...

A large Rock Cod from the depths on the Kanji Free Slow jig...

A small GT on the Shout! Stay jig...

An awesome Long Nose Emperor on the Xesta Flap jig...

Another large Rock Cod on the Shout! Stay jig...

A small Bigeye Trev taken at night on an IMA Gun Peki jig...

They hunt in packs and the IMA Gun Peki usually finds them...

The topwater action isn't frenzied but a few nice fish are pulled in on occasion...

Here the FCL Labo CSP scores another...

Yellowfin Tuna always gets the guys onboard excited. This one took a Shout! Shab Shab jig...

So did this lil' Coral Cod...

If they aren't up top, a dropped Evergreen Javeline Jet jig will find the GTs...

Out come the light jigs in the dark, here's a nice Paddletail Snapper which took an IMA Ichimatsu jig...

They then hit a school of Rosy Jobbies...
