LIGHT TACKLE ESTUARY DOWNUNDER!

As we continue on our adventure downunder, we find ourselves at the boatramp at dawn for another day out. This time its the sheltered confines of an estuary system where we hope to find some nice Bream and Flatheads...

Don't let the bright sunshine fool you, it was cold!

That's where we were: Moreton Bay...

Our mate's beaut Boston Whaler was probably an overkill for this type of fishing. But it sure was nice to travel in style!

Couldn't be a more scenic landscape...

First up was a rogue Tailor taken on the ever-useful DUO Realis Vibe...

The DUO Realis Vibe is on a roll with a nice Flathead next...

And a Snapper too...

We hop the bottom for Flathead, and its the Evergreen Marvie vibe which scores next...

Many say Bream are shy little fish that are spooked by large lures, but we got two feisty ones on rather large vibes!

This one's on the DUO Slaver vibe...

Best Flathead of the day came from a shallow bank with a slight drop...

The DUO Realis Shad cranked over it cannot be ignored...

Soft plastics are the traditional Flathead staple...

In true fashion this fat Jackall Knuckle was taken with gusto...

The Bream we encountered really weren't as shy as they were made out to be. They go hard as well...

The DUO Realis Shad was a real performer, whether it was the 59MR or this larger 62DR model...

Another Bream shows up...

And like the one before it, the DUO Realis Shad 62DR did the trick...

We called it quits by midday and were greeted by the Pelicans at the ramp but unfortunately we had nothing for them. Like always, all fish were released to grow into monsters...
