SNAPPERS IN THE BAY!

A pre dawn start saw us bundled up to fight the cold, as we braved the blistery conditions on board a mate's boat and kept hopes up of making the sacrifice worth our while. It turned out to be an awesome day in the bay chasing a variety to species and taking in what it had to offer...

A hit on the DUO Jerkbait 100 in the shallows quelled all scepticism...

We were in super shallow waters that were said to hold decent Snapper. Luck would have it that we found one at least. On the strong Evergreen Kaleido spin stick it was a no-contest though...

As dawn broke it revealed an awesome landscape...

We wasted no time in rushing to the next spot where hopefully some decent fishing laid waiting...

This was a deeper hole so we deployed the DUO Realis Vibration and scored straightaway, albeit a small Pinkie which was sent back on its way...

We found that the super loud rattle on the Realis Vibe really appealed to this feisty little critters and two casts later we got another...

Meanwhile the little IMA Gun Peki jig picks up an odd customer...

Flicked around on the Major Craft Sky Road spin stick, the Gun Peki was too irresistible for this Flounder...

For a change, a DUO D-Squid II worked deep found this Cuttlefish...

And to add to the species list the little IMA Gun Peki snared this Tailor too...

We found some structure and while flicking the tiny Jackall Mametai jigs around it got picked up by this John's Snapper...

We found a nice bay to have lunch before resuming. The day was turning out to be bloody good weather wise...

How's this for a DUO Spinbait 'spybait' capture?

The usually shy Bream had no qualms snapping at the rather large Spinbait 90...

As the sun warmed us up we had to go deeper to find fish. With the trusty Major Craft Go-Emotion Micro Jig Special spin rod and a handy bunch of jigs we would find this nice Snapper...

The IMA Ichimatsu jig is the perfect 'slow' jig in a downsized iteration. The fish these things catch are nothing short of amazing...

The IMA Ichimatsu scores again, this time a John's Snapper...

More John's Snapper action, now courtesy of the little Jackall Mametai jig...

You never know what'll come up next. Here's an interesting Goatfish which fell for an APIA Seiryu jig...

Prospecting the bay and its little holes for Snapper we didn't get any trophies but decent ones like this were still plenty of fun...

They love vibes hopped off the bottom. And they don't come better than the DUO Tide Vib Score...

To say Snappers love IMA Gun Peki jigs would also be an understatement...

Especially in the funky special colours that the Gun Pekis come in...

As the day wore on the afternoon wind picked up and forced us in, but not before we found another little Snapper on the DUO Tide Vib Score...
