REEF RAIDING!

Spent a day on the water just offshore in Singapore, scouring the shallows for reef critters with lures and jigs. Here's how it went...

Early morning start but everyone onboard was hyped...

First spot and the lures didn't draw a strike, so out came the micro jigs. First fish is a Longfin Trevally on the ultralight Major Craft MS-X outfit...

Jig in question is the IMA Gun Peki...

Not long after, we found another willing taker on the ultralight outfit...

On the trusty ol' IMA Gun Peki...

Next up we cast the reefs and turned up this nice Coral Trout...

It took the fast retrieved DUO Larus Minnow offshore minnow...

Going deep with the DUO Bay Ruf V-75 found this eager Spanish Flag...

Going even deeper with the DUO Realis Crank G87 and this highly territorial Anchor Tuskfish took a swipe...

Fish like these are rare gems in local waters. This Spanish Mackeral on the Major Craft Skyroad spin rod is a catch of a lifetime...

It fell for the Jackson G-Control offshore minnow cranked hard...

Casting into the shallows with the DUO Blazin minnow found another Anchor Tuskfish...

And then the DUO Blazin proved irresistible for this Spanish Flag...

A strong take followed by nasty runs can only mean GT. On the relatively light outfit it was a handful...

Another capture on the DUO Blazin, a lure which has become favourites amongst the regular fishos...

Combing the shallow reefs with the FEED Lures SPEAR30 pencil finds one of the many Longtoms we would encounter over the day...

And when we had a good take in the form of a nice Coral Trout on the DUO Realis Jerkbait 120SP, the resident sharks had different ideas...

But next fish to hit the deck would be the Coral Trout of the day. A prime specimen...

It took the slinky swimming IMA Honey Trap 95 lipless lure...

The action continues with a beautiful Bar Cheeked Coral Trout on the Jackson G-Control...

Chucking the DUO Realis Jerkbait 120SP at the drop offs is highly productive and a Gold Spot Trevally is the next victim...

And then another Spanish Flag which couldn't resist the DUO Realis Jerkbait 120SP...

GTs hunt in packs and we soon found our paths colliding. This first fish took the big DUO Fangbait 120SR with gusto...

While fish number two followed suit and found itself onboard in short time...

It took the DUO Beach Walker Fulcrum lure...

As the weather turned for the worse, we called it a day. A pretty successful one at that...
