With a total opposite mindset we decided to dedicate this day to chasing a target of a different kind. And a way of lure fishing which played on a different instinct of the fish - a territorial one. The target was a mini Cichlid specie which has invaded local waterways. They are mini in size so what did we do? Go as light as possible with the ultra light area Trout Nextino rod from Major Craft and grabbed a handful of ultra light lures with razor sharp hooks. These beautifully marked little battlers are highly territorial so the plan was to invade their space with our lures to trigger a strike.
