BUSTING A NEW SYSTEM!

We'd seen it on the map, and it looked mighty fishy. So the plan was hatched, we had to try this new river system out. Pre-dawn starts are the norm so we got up bright and early and hit the road in the darkness. We knew where we wanted to be as the sun rose...

Three casts in with frozen hands and we score a nice Mangrove Jack. The Evergreen Zephyr MJ Racing rod did its usual stellar job in the rough country, of extracting this tough guy out...

The lure which scored is a firm favourite of ours, the DUO Realis Jerkbait 100DR...

As the sun rose it unveiled the beautiful landscape and with it a myriad of species, like this Estuary Cod on the little Zipbaits Khamsin...

Sticking with the bigger lure paid dividends in the form of this Estuary Cod too...

Its the DUO Realis Jerkbait 100DR at its best...

Then a horse of a Bream comes aboard...

Courtesy of the Zipbaits Khamsin as well...

As the tide ran out the shallow banks began to get exposed, aiming at these points would almost guarantee a Flathead like this. Super fun they are on ultralight gear like this Major Craft Volkey rod...

The Jackall Diving Chubby is the epitome of the micro crankbait. Its ability is uncanny...

Sticking to the Zipbaits Khamsin has its perks too. Another Bream in the boat...

We love the DUO Realis Shad 62DR for chasing Lizards on the drop offs...

Here's a nice one on the light gear...

Targeting the right spots mean we get another Flathead in the boat, and its a good one too...

Another victim of the DUO Realis Shad 62DR...

Working vibes like the IMA Koume works wonders for Flathead as well, as shown...

By midday the heat and wind had us packing early, but not before flipping another Bream in the boat, courtesy of the DUO Tide Vib Score...
