SLOW PITCH JIGGING IN THE MALDIVES! Part Three

The massive collection of fish on Slow Pitch Jigging in the Maldives calls for Part 3. In this instalment we get yet more species in the boat!

Beauty or beast? This Big-Eye on the Seafalcon Z Slow jig is an awesome catch none the less...

Tasty Coronation trout are always welcome. This little guy came aboard courtesy of the Kanji Free Flip jig...

GTs are not as common on the jig but when they do turn up they go hard. This one liked the SFC Abyss...

The Cross II Red X jig is a funky new jig that has scored some awesome catches of late, here it accounts for a nice Grouper...

And the unique Xesta Slippy jig nails this Jobfish...

The action is red hot with yet another Grouper coming in on the Kanji Free Slow...

And yet another Jobfish follows on the same Xesta Slippy...

Next drop and the fantastic Maldives shares another fabulous Big Eye from the depths. This time the SFC Spunky scores...

And the ever ready Groupers are there to make sure no one gets bored...

The Kanji Free Flip doing its job...

The SFC Spunky finds a Jobfish...

Amberjack finds a Kanji Free Slow...

And its back to Groupers, this one on the Fisherman Andaman jig...

Pitching the SFC Arrow jig with the Slow Draw, we get a surprise in the form of the uncommon (to the Maldives) Cobia...

Then next drop finds not one but two Amberjacks fighting over the SFC Arrow jig. Second double header of Amberjacks for the trip...

With the beautiful conditions we fish deep next with the awesome Jackall Anchovy Missile lure, and turned up this big GT which lost its tail on the way to the boat. The Maldivian Sharks make their presence felt yet again...

Next drop with the Anchovy Missile snags a little Cod though...

Kanji Free Flip finds a Green Jobbie...

Its the last day and we decide to go real deep with our drops. First fish to the boat is the unique Mozambique Large Eye Bream, and a big one at that...

Its an awesome fish to look at. It fell for the flutter-tastic FEED FALL jig...

Rockcods are never far away in the Maldives. This SFC Arc victim is typical...

From over 200m depth comes a beautiful Snapper that has us baffled. It is a big specimen too...

It took the SFC Spunky jig and got pinned...

There was obviously a school down there as another smaller one falls for the Kanji Free Slow jig...

Last fish for the trip turns out to be a feisty GT on jig...

The Xesta Slippy does the job...
