Tackle Source goes deep! On the constant quest to push the boundaries of our tackle, this trip brings us over the continental shelf into some unknown depths. Was an interesting two days on the water...

| From the depths of 200+m we score this nice Blubber Lip Snapper on the first drift. It took the Sea Floor Control Spunky jig... |

| The action then gets rolling with a little Flame Tail Snapper which took the SFC Rector worked slow... |

| Then the Slow Draw gives this Ruby Snapper a one-way ticket ride to the surface when it took the FEED FALL jig... |

| After some non-eventful drifts we then hit some slightly shallower holes and it didn't take long for this Evergreen Slow Jerker to load up nice... |

| After a long fight we had the biggie in the boat, Kanji Free Slow jig tucked in its gob... |

| A nice capture on the slow jig outfit. This mean GT went 19kg on the scales and provided some fight indeed... |

| We then continued the depth assault and we found this awesome looking Red Scorpionfish with the FEED FALL jig... |

| And a hungry tiny Flame Tail Snapper which liked the FEED FALL jig too... |

| Then we hit the jackpot with this, a nice Amberjack. The fish pushed the Major Craft Slow Draw rod well but it took it all in stride... |

| Next its back to the bottom bashing with a nice Coral Trout on the Kanji Free Slow jig... |

| While the SFC Spunky accounted for this Greasy Grouper... |

| A great fight with the Major Craft Slow Draw ended with this nice Turrum in the boat courtesy of the Kanji Free Slow jig... |

| The weather cooperated to make a great day of day one... |

| Day two and we were raring to go, Major Craft Slow Draw rods locked and loaded... |

| It looked to be a good day as this SFC Rector drop resulted in tandem Ruby Snappers... |
 |
| Red was to be the colour of the day as this SFC Cranky scored this nice Ruby... |

| Another drop and another nice Ruby, the SFC Cranky does it again... |

| The new Slow Draw prototype loaded up. This one felt weird... |

| Turned out to be an Octopus from 250m on the SFC Spunky... |

| The Ruby Snappers seemed to love the SFC Cranky jigs... |

| We then took the opportunity to try some really deep drops. This Gemfish took the SFC Gawky in over 550m depth... |

| Each long drop only turned up Gemfish. This SFC Arc victim was no different... |

| We persevered but only found variants to the species. Even small specimens like this one on the SFC Gawky was hard work from 550m... |

| Another drop and another Gemfish. SFC Gawky with a nicer one this time. The Slow Draw prototypes handled the depth with flying colours... |

| We then ended the session early with a Kuromutsu on the SFC Arc. One for the table... |

| Towards the end of the day the winds picked up and we wrapped it up... |
