JARAK JOYS!

The 'GT Chaser', the name itself says it all! After a 2 month wait, it was our turn on board again and boy were we eagerly anticipating. Friday mornin' finally came and before long we were piling all manner of tackle onboard after a quick breakfast.
Pushing off

Filling up the mandatory forms

Unpacking...

Tying...

Serious stuff!

Natural Selection!

My chance at long last, to try out this spankin' new release from Majorcraft - the Alexander!

Paired with a Shimano 6000, perfetly balanced!

Eager anticipation...
All hands on deck!

Wasn't long before our first hit! Poseidon PE2.5 in action...

Schoolie GT, good start...

2nd drop and yet another! Fisherman Marado working well!

3rd hit was a freight train that hit an IMA Ro and in no time we were short of line.
This fish fought a very very long time...

The Majorcraft Offblow rod was more than up to the task, and slowly but surely the angler got the upper hand, albeit being totally beat-up. Then 10 metres from the boat the line parted and the whole boat went quiet...

But next drift and the fish continued to oblidge.
New Earthshaker owner enjoying the spills...

IMA Ro 120g jig does the job on this GT

Another schoolie GT, great fun!

We were glad to see the Fingermark Snappers get into the fray as well...

IMA Ro in orange was the hit of the session

At last after a few bust-offs the Alexander rod got something to the boat...

Another Goldie for dinner! Shout! Shab Shab holding its own against the IMA!

Not big but great for the table...

Change of jig and next to hit was a small GT

Introducing Shout!'s latest release - the WIDTH jig. This one weighs 140g...

Drifting over the pinnacle we were all hooked up...
Poseidon vs. Alexander!

The Width jigs did it again...

Not a big trev but it gave a good account of itself

Marcus' had a more yellow tinge. Taken on an Evergreen Javeline Jet
worked with his Poseidon PE2.5

More frenzied action ensued...

Action all around...

Shab Shab, what else?

Schoolies were getting bigger!

Luckier ones got Goldens from the lot!
Shab Shab making a killing...

Nice fat fish pushing the 5kg mark!

Action continued all the way till sundown...

Yet another Golden Snapper...

Smile says it all. Shab Shab does its job...

Alexander getting a good work out...

Lotsa low down grunt...

No prizes for guessing which jig did the trick!

A bigger one for the esky!

A grouper to add abit of variety...

Living it!

Popping the next morning yielding a GT amongst plenty of misses...

FCL EBIPOP worked its magic...

Tag-team action!

Fusilier on Javeline Jet by Evergreen

Small Queenie on Jackson Trout Tune Lipless

Blue lined hind on Javeline Jet

Fusilier on Mangrove Studio jig...

Light tackle at its most fun! Sabel Dance PE-1 vs. GT!

More GT schools...

On Mangrove Studio 50g jig

More little critters...

More GTs...

Mangrove Studio hit after hit...

More serious stuff from deeper waters.
Earthshaker PE3-4 getting a work out...

Nice GT of about 7kgs...

IMA Ro does the job...

Fusilier on Angler's Republic Seablade jig

Another on Jackson Gallop jig

Reef Snappers aplenty...

Big Queenie on IMA Ro 120g, great fight!

7-8kg Queenfish!

More reefies...

Nice long Golden Snapper on Shab Shab!

Ro doesn't lose out with another great Snapper...

Great finish to a great trip...
