SALTY SOJOURN

Time to hit the deck again for some offshore action. Usual spot, usual boat, usual Captain at the helm, life is good!

Happy days!

Seeing no evil!

1st spot and action began, with an uncommon visitor in these waters...

Cobia! On the new 48g Jackson Pintail...

1st fish on deck...

Poseidon Spin Jerker Lite put to good use...

Another nice Cobia before release...

After 2 bust offs, finally this one stays connected, Poseidon Ocean Hunter doing its job...

IMA Honey Trap, worked for the finicky feeders...

A teenage Cobia about to be set free...

Light rod, maximum fun!

This fish showed no signs of letting up, it was a long fight...

IMA Ro doing the damage...

1st trip offshore and the biggest fish of the trip, a handsome Cobia!

All hands on casting deck, Offblow rod bearing the grunt...

More hits to follow...

Nice GT on FCL Labo Ebipop cast with an Offblow Hiramasa rod...

Queenie taken on Ebipop!

Yet another from the school took a liking to my black Ebipop...

More Offblow light tackle action...

Beautiful GT taken on an El Gaviota popper...

And a 'Cuda to follow...

Another happy angler with a fish taken on an El Nadador Stickbait...

Another GT, on a prototype stickbait...

Ebipops performed best, accounting for yet another GT...

Bigeye Trevs came out at night to provide some light tackle entertainment...

There were hunters around too...

Nie Queenfish in the morning, on a black Ebipop...

Fun in the shallows, a Basslet on Jackall Bros Mame Metal...

A Purple Trigger adds colour and variety...

Coral Cods were plentiful...

So were Blue Hinds...

Working deep, we finally found some nice table fish...

We managed only 2 from the school, this one on a Sevenseas Revolver...

Mother of all John's Snappers on a Shab Shab jig...

A rare Grunter taken on IMA Ro...

Mini Marlin for posterity!
