NEW LURES FOR NEW CATS!

Back to our favourite lake for some Catfish action. New additions in the form of the Amazonian Cats were willing and we didn't waste the opportunity to try new tactics to tease these smartened caught and released fish. Here are some pictures...

An Asian Redtail Cat to get things rolling. Lure in question? The IMA Honey Trap...

Followed by a hard fighting Amazon Redtail, also on the same Honey Trap...

Honey Trap by IMA, slinky flutter fall between twitches...

A larger Asian Redtail Cat that gave a good workout even on the heavy Evergreen Tactics Pitchin' Frog rod...

It fell for a Jackall Bros Squad Minnow HW, twitched...

Imakatsu IK-Crank scores this nice Sultan Fish..

And a big Tilapia that went aggressive on a Zipbaits B-Switcher...

The Asian Redtails in this lake are growing bigger. Like the other before it, this one went for a Jackall Bros Squad Minnow HW...

A rare catch on the IMA Barbarossa 95, fouled maybe?

But this time the IMA Barbarossa scores for sure, with an Asian Redtail. No match for the strong Evergreen Amazon Flip rod though...

Imakatsu IK-Crank scores again with this nice Amazon Redtail Cat..

They can't resist IK-Cranks, especially in dark hues...

More big Cats hit the floor...

On soft plastics this time. The Jackall Bros Dragon Bug is deadly with a few hits in a row...

More Amazonian Redtail action, they fight hard...

Lipless twitchbaits are the new rage. IMA Fletchette 100 does nicely...

Another Jackall Bros Dragon Bug victim...

Smaller Asian Redtail, good fun none the less...

Here's a fresh new lure, the DUO Axiom. Fantasic when twitched on the bottom...

Jackall Dragon Bug strikes again. A nice Amazonian this time...

On the Evergreen Temujin Amazon Flip, this fight was a no contest. Dragon Bug did the trick and the rod finished it quick...

These bottom huggers love hairy plastics. The Imakatsu Moth Chatter is a consistent performer...

IMA Barbarossa with another Amazon Redtail Cat...

The fish weren't shy on this day and they lined up for a feed...

Jackson Muscle Shot is not your traditional freshwater lure, but it sure works...

And to prove it was no fluke it hooked up again right after...

Jackson Muscle Shot, another lipless pencil twitched on the bottom...

Change of lure and the bite continues...

DUO Axiom hits again...

Another stubborn Asian Redtail comes in...

Courtesy of the Imakatsu Moth Chatter...

These bigger fish are always good fun, even on the brute sticks like the Temujin Amazon Flip...

This time it was the IMA Honey Trap, a lure which needs no introduction in the saltwater scene...

A hefty Amazonian Cat on relatively like gear. The new Majorcraft Skyroad spin rod does good...

Honey Trap by IMA scores again...

Honey Trap with a second in quick succession...

Another good Redtail Cat on the Majorcraft Skyroad...

Didn't have to wait long for a third on the magical lure...

IMA Honey Traps were sucked in without hesitation...

Another rare Silver Catfish on the heavy gear, no contest for the Evergreen Tactics Pitchin' Frog...

IMA Honey Trap is on a roll...

Here's the spankin' new Dobyns Coalition Weapon in heavy spin guise at work...

A big Asian Red Tail Catfish to show for the efforts...

Evergreen Buzzer Beater lipless vibe scores this time...
