Not too long ago, friends of Tackle Source paid a visit to a facility quite different from the norm. This opportunity to tussle with big fish was hard to pass on, even though it was in a controlled environment. Gears were readied and anticipation was feverish.
These stocked ponds were home to the rare and endangered Queensland Grouper, the biggest of all Grouper species and a fish you almost never expect to catch in the wild. Sharing these waters are Barramundi too but they weren't the focus of our attention. Naturally, heavy tackle is the prerequisite and even so, some fish were just too difficult to stop.
