SALT PONDING II

We love our saltwater fishing and this stocked pond offers anglers a chance to tangle with some exciting species without the long journeys and hours spent. It is here we put some of our lures to the test, with exciting results...

We open the session with an APIA Bagration victim...

A fat Hybrid Grouper, and a handful on the light spin Major Craft Go-Emotion...

Said Go-Emotion Floater Special at work...

These fish are hard to tire of. They take hard and go hard...

The IMA Ikuri 60 - quickly becoming a favourite for anglers here...
A healthy Fingermark Bream, exceptional fighters themselves...

The IMA Ikuri scores again!

A nice GT on a quickly twitched light baitcast rod - the Evergreen Temujin 'Quad Twister'...

The Jackall Dangan Squad Minnow does the trick...

The GTs are not the easiest fish to fool and it does take some trickery...

Special vibes don't come any better than the Level Vib by up-and-coming manufacturer RAID Japan...

A beautifully conditioned Barramundi...

Courtesy of the DUO Realis Shad...

Groupers on light tackle bring the biggest thrills. This one on the Evergreen Temujin 'Spider' spin rod was epic...

It fell for a well-placed Jackall i-Shad soft plastic...

Golden Snapper don't look much more beautiful than this fine specimen...

The APIA Bagration has a cult following in the short time since inception and it isn't hard to guess why...

We go deep and the patience pays off handsomely...

The APIA Bagration scores another...

Another sizeable Grouper landed after a few tense moments on the Major Craft Sky Road spin rod...

The DUO Realis Shad does good...

The fish are on the chew and another is landed...

This Grouper liked the IMA Sobat sinking jerkbait...

And yet another is plucked from the pond before the end of the day, on the Evergreen Temujin 'Quad Twister'...

This one fell for the big Evergreen Modo Faith jerkbait...
