GREEN, YELLOW, BLACK, WHITE

Short session for the introduced Peacock Bass turned out the usual suspects and some not-so-common visitors. The abundance of these species has been a boon to the lure casting fraternity, not to mention the industry.

DUO Realis Popper can hardly be ignored by these ferocious predators...

The Temensis strain of the Peacock Bass grow bigger, and show greater heart when hooked. On the ultra light Evergreen Temujin 'Aerial Level Stroke' spin rod all that is amplified...

Speed and flash is key to getting the attention of passing fish...

The pretty recent Megabass Shading-X 75 does the trick...

Males in heat show their territorial aggression by belting passing lures...

Here the IMA Barbarossa worked with the Evergreen Zephyr spin rod finds a customer...

Shading-X 75 on the light spin 'Aerial Level Stroke' turns up this angry Zebra Cichlid, a fresh deviation from the usual Pavons. They put up a spirited fight and show much stubborn-ness as they resist capture...

Back to the Bass action with another nice fish on the twitched Zipbaits Orbit Minnow worked with the Evergreen Temujin 'Spider' ultralight spin rod...

More Shading-X 75 captures with this other Pavon...

Going small with the ultralight outfits can turn a slow session on its head. Here the Bassday Sugar Minnow Lipless accounts for another capture...

It turns up another nice fish on the light Evergreen Temujin rod...

Seems to be a healthy population of humpheaded males around here...

The Jackall Bros Pyun Pyun is a unique contraption for ice-fishing but its versatility extends to the tropics...

Lures of all sizes will work for these fish at differing times. Here's another nice fish on the Evergreen Zephyr Seabass rod...

The spanking new DUO Realis Jerkbait 100 slashes and flashes with the best of them...

The bigger specimens are ultra fun on the light gear and can put up quite a resistance with their short explosive bursts...

The IMA Trip 66 is a long casting lipless lure that has carved a niche for itself in the freshwater realm. The flutter and darting jerks did this fish in...

Another big Zebra Cichlid shows up at the party...

It went for a lightly twitched DUO Toto jerkbait...

And another Zebra joins in as it went for the sinking lipless DUO Yurameki, another stellar performer...

To wrap things up the IMA Trip 66 lands us a juvenile Pavon...
