HEAVY METAL SESSION!

Recently some friends of Tackle Source experienced some awesome action on jigs locally.Trips like these are those to savour. Here's a photo-log of the adventure, and one that's sure to get any hot-blooded angler excited...

To start things off, a nice Golden Snapper on jig! The Shout! Shab Shab is the go-to jig for most and its hard to argue why...

Not a common visitor in these parts: a Spotted Spanish Mackeral taken on a Fisherman Marado jig...

Some light tackle oddities in the form of a Squirrelfish on the Bassday Nin Cas jig...

The Goldies make their presence felt on this trip and here's another nice one, this on a Shout! Flash jig worked with the Major Craft Giant Killing jig rod...

Another Golden Snapper hits the deck courtesy of the Shout! Shab Shab jig...

Met with a school of hungry Trevally, the action heats up. This one falls for a Shout! Shab Shab...

While this one tries to gobble down a Shout! Width jig...

Mack Tuna schools are also always present around these parts and won't hesitate going after a life-like jig like this Shout! Shab Shab jig...

The Shout! Flash jig finds a bottom dweller...

Meanwhile this Bassday Nin Chiku jig worked slow with the Major Craft Alexander spin jig rod scores a nice Snapper...

Not the biggest of Groupers but the Shout! Shab Shab scores nonetheless...

A GT is also fooled by the Shab Shab shortly after...

Then comes the school of Cobias. Often in packs, these fish would cause pandemomium aboard as multiple strikes would be the norm. This one fell for a Xesta After Burner jig...

While this Cobia went for a Bassday Bottom Contact jig and got nailed...

Another Bassday Bottom Contact victim. Another beautiful Cobia...

The bite is redhot as another Cobia hits the deck courtesy of the IMA Ro jig...

Slow jig phenom - the Evergreen Poseidon Slow Jerker in action...

The Poseidon Slow Jerker is maximum fun for these applications...

A beautiful Grouper on the Shout! Shab Shab and an epic battle won...

A smaller Grouper landed with a Bassday Nin Raba madai jig worked slow with the Major Craft Giant Killing Slow Pitch rod...

Estuary Cods seem to be on the chew as another nice one hits the deck. The Shout! Width jig worked with the Evergreen Poseidon Spin Jerker did the trick on this one...

And yet another. Another Grouper falls for the Shout! Shab Shab jig...

And another on madai off the bottom...

The final session is usually a light tackle fest and this is no different. A nice Queenfish gets its photo taken...

The small IMA Gun Peki is the go-to jig for these applications...

This Longtom oblidges to the IMA Gun Peki too...

Going big with the Bassday Bottom Contact jig finds this greedy Queenie...

GTs on ultralight gear are the ultimate fun on a stick. This little guy on the Jackall Laser jig would've been quite a thrill...

The Evergreen Temujin 'Spider' stick is loaded to the max here...

A bloodied up Queenfish on an IMA Gun Peki to end the trip...
